EU Secrecy Bingo is an independent satirical project. It is not an official website of the European Union and is not affiliated with, commissioned by or endorsed by EU institutions, OpenAI, Microsoft, or any person or organisation named in a user-created case file. References to public bodies and organisations are satirical or descriptive.

This website was created independently as a private birthday gift for Alexander Fanta. Alexander Fanta did not create, commission or contribute to the website; he has not approved or endorsed it and is not responsible for its content or operation.

AI assistance and transparency

The concept, wording, visual implementation and source code of this website were developed with assistance from OpenAI ChatGPT and Codex. Pascal Lebersorger reviewed, selected, edited and approved the published result and assumes editorial and legal responsibility for it.

The published bingo is a deterministic web application. It does not contain or contact an AI model at runtime, does not converse with visitors, does not create new AI-generated content, and does not profile, score or make decisions about visitors. The dynamic social-preview image is assembled programmatically from the case name and selected squares; it is not generated by an AI model.

This disclosure is provided voluntarily in the interest of transparency and in view of Article 50 of the EU AI Act. The published material has undergone substantive human review and editorial control by the person who holds responsibility for its publication. If the site later adds generative AI or another AI system at runtime, this notice and the applicable transparency measures will be reassessed before that feature is published.

Information processed

The site has no user accounts, contact form, advertising or audience analytics. Its application code does not save case files in a database or in browser storage. If you name a case file and share it, the case name and the selected squares are encoded in the URL. Anyone receiving or requesting that URL can therefore see this information, including in a social-link preview.

To deliver and secure the site, the hosting service may process technical request data such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser or device information and security-related events. Because a case name is part of the requested URL, it may also appear in technical hosting data. Do not enter personal, confidential, sensitive or unlawful information as a case name.

Purposes and legal basis

Technical data is processed to provide the requested page and preview, maintain reliable and secure operation, prevent misuse and troubleshoot faults. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating this small satirical website securely and making its deliberately requested sharing function available (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and recipients

The site is hosted and operated using ChatGPT Sites. OpenAI and the entities or infrastructure providers involved in that service may process technical and end-user data as necessary to provide, secure and operate the site, subject to the terms and data-processing arrangements applicable to the operator’s account. No hosting or data residency in a particular country is promised; processing outside the European Economic Area may occur under the applicable contractual safeguards.

Storage and shared links

The operator does not independently store case files. Technical hosting and security data is retained only in accordance with the hosting service’s applicable terms and operational requirements. A shared URL may remain in messages, browser history, social-network caches or other systems controlled by the people and services with whom it was shared. Creating a new file produces a new URL but cannot delete copies already shared elsewhere.

Cookies and tracking

The site’s application code sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no comparable non-essential tracking. The hosting service may use strictly necessary security or delivery technologies. No optional tracking is activated by the operator, so this site does not display a consent banner.

Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority. Requests to the operator may be sent to the postal address above.
